Roadside Attractions
Investigate - Invent - Discover
In Roadside Attractions, children decide which destinations and marvels they want to discover and explore. Visitors can set up road signs, work on their cars, and discover roadside adventures in unexpected places! Get under the hood of your car or pretend to fill the tank in Please Touch Garage, and then create your own fantasy vehicle with a wide variety of flashy and fun accessories in Dream a Vehicle! Kids can jump into the driver’s seat of the classic SEPTA Bus or take a trip into the future on the John Wanamaker Rocket Express monorail. Need a break? Take a rest and read a book in City Park - an urban retreat complete with an authentic Philadelphia food vendor’s cart. Kids can also unleash their inner artist as they play with an interactive mural designed by Philadelphia artist Sam Maitin. Roadside Attractions takes the familiar theme of transportation and integrates it into the experiences of engineering, designing, role playing and more.
