Michael Connor, Theater Coordinator Mike studied acting and screenwriting at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and graduated from Oberlin College in 2003 with a B.A. in Film and another in English. He then moved back home to Philadelphia and helped found The N Crowd, one of the area’s premier comedy troupes. As Meteor Mike the Mad Scientist, he travelled to schools, camps, and birthday parties teaching kids about science and generally just being silly. While teaching at Independence Charter School, Mike turned a daring group of middle schoolers into the youngest comedy troupe in Philadelphia. He co-wrote and directed the musical The Hoppers Hit the Road which debuted at the Adrienne Theater, and he also developed a multi-media puppet show for the Philadelphia Improv Theater called The Happy Magic Fun-Time Show. Mike has performed on both coasts and many places in between; his humor writings have been included in various publications both in print and online; and he has directed numerous short films and videos. |
