If you grew up in the Philadelphia area from the late 1960s to the early 1990s, chances are Captain Noah and His Magical Ark holds a special place in your heart.  Created by husband and wife team, W. Carter and Patricia B. Merbrier, this local children’s television program introduced its young viewers to the world of science, art, and history.  Every episode concluded with the Captain and Mrs. Noah singing their trademark theme song, "I Can Sing a Rainbow." Following the show’s finale in 1994, the television set, production videos, and props from the show became a part of Please Touch Museum’s permanent collection.  Following the installation of the television set into our City Capers exhibit in 2008, Captain and Mrs. Noah graciously donated several puppets to the museum from their personal collection, including Wally the Walrus and Mumwup the Monster.
