What time does Stroller in the Park begin?
Registration and packet pick-up will open at 7 a.m. on Sunday, August 29th. The walk is scheduled to start around 8:15 a.m. after light warm-up stretch.
How far is the Stroll?
The Stroll follows the 5K path (3.1 miles) through Fairmount Park, designed to start and finish at Please Touch Museum. There will be an optional cut-off point at the 2 mile marker along the path, behind the museum, if your family grows weary.
Is this a race?
Nope! Stroller in the Park is a family walk and there are no winners other than you for being active!
Can my child bring his/her bike, scooter or roller blades?
Sorry, but no. With smaller children in mind, strollers and wagons are highly encouraged but please leave your bikes, roller blades and scooters at home.
What time will the museum open on August 29th?
The museum will be open to Stroller in the Park registrants at 9 a.m. It will open to the general public at 11 a.m.
Is there a rain date?
There is no rain date scheduled. The walk will continue if there is light rain, otherwise elements of the event will be moved inside the museum.
Where can I park on the day of the event?
Please Touch Museum’s parking lot will be open while spots are available. Regular fees apply. Street parking will be slightly limited due to road closures.
I am a Please Touch Museum Member; do I receive a discount on registration?
Yes, there is a separate registration fee for Please Touch Museum Members.
What does my registration cover?
All registrants will receive a Stroller in the Park T-shirt, registration bag and access to the amenities on hand during the walk, including the food and health pavilion. Non-members will receive an admission voucher to the museum. Admission to the museum is free for members.
Water, first aid and restrooms will be available to registrants during the event as well.
I am not a museum member but I receive admission to the museum with my registration. Do I need to visit on August 29th?
No, you will receive an admission voucher with your registration packet which can be redeemed up to 365 days after the event.
When can I pick up my registration packet?
You can pick up your registration packet in advance at Please Touch Museum on Friday, August 27th from 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Saturday, August 28th from 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., or prior to the Stroll on August 29th.
